HELP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Job Profile:
- Regular maintenance of Microsoft Based servers including 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers
- Performing general desktop maintenance like virus scanning, defragmentation etc. in Windows 7, XP and Windows 8 environment
- Occasional setup and maintenance of Hardware based Firewall and VPN
- Answering support related emails and phone-calls for clients
- Setting up Software and hardware deployment
- Setting up Remote Desktop via RDP and other medium
BASIC REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Network Administration:
- Knowledge of working in, and managing, Microsoft Server environments
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP servers
- Working knowledge of Backups, Firewalls, and VPN
- Experience providing Desktop Support on Windows systems, to include MS Office Suites
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and writing skills
- Good Problem solving skills
- Good work ethic
- Fast learner
- Work independently with little oversight
Education/Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in a technical field is preferred, however, experience and certifications will be considered as a replacement or equivalent
- MCP and/or Cisco certified is a plus
- Minimum 1-year experience in relevant field
